I am not a fan of the band's music, but the real reason I don't like them has to be the fans.
The only fans you really see are 'OMGOSSH GERARDD IS HAWWT I WANNTT HIS BABBIESSSS LOLLL!!!"!￡￡" type fans, and the occasional fans who like the music.
The what I would call 'normal' fans are generally un-heard of because:
a) You call yourself an MCR fan you get related with the OMGOSH types and
b) Being a fan of a band doesn't mean you have to proclaim it wherever you go
So basically people get the impression MCR only has them crazy fans asking the stupid questions. Et voila, people bash MCR.

Thank you for seeing this. Both bashers and obsessed fans are annoying as hell. You have a good point people should just stop talking about them if they like them they don't have to be obsessed about it.
The reason i started to dislike MCR because most of there fans are posers which kind of ruins the band for me. I liked there first cd and will always defend it. But for most of there other stuff i dont like it so much.

My friend's a MCR fan. He's ashamed to be one. Take a guess at why. Because he wants nothing to do with those fangirls that have nothing better to do but worship them.
If people would stop judging bands by their looks, I bet you bashing will decrease greatly.

@nd edit: MCRfreak, good attitude. You are right, chances are you wouldn't like thier ( or my ) bands. You shouldn't feel like you have to.
MCR is a amazing band.
Some of the fans aren't amazing.
Fans like us actually care about the music, and the message the band has.

This is madness. I'm very into my music but I don't post everyday how much I love "so-so lead singer of some band" I have to admit their music is appealing but after awhile it's all the same and I move on to something better. I think it's also whom the band themselves appeal, obviously more serious music lovers are not going to be going all crazy of a band like MCR because they have heard someone like them. I've never really seen anyone over 20 listening to MCR. All it is that once the fans hit a certain age, their favorite band becomes someone else. I'm just being patient and hope they discover new music and move on with their crazy fan posts.
I agree and I'm glad you understand how the rest of us feel, because I am sure everyone is sick and tired of hearing "MCR this...." and "MCR that...".

i used to like them until they hit the fan and then it got way toooooo main stream for me, annoying to hear like 7th grade emo kids singing them just REALLY turned me off to them.

its not the bands fault really,theyre just createing music that means something to them.The obsessive fans are whats ruining theyre image among everyone who have never heard them and causing them to hate and bash them for no reason other than what the fans are like.Instead of recruteing new fans all theyre doing is repelling people from the band.Its really fucl{ed up if you ask me.Im not ashamed that I listen to them and never will be because I know what theyre music is really about.people need to grow up both on the haters side and the fans side,its just music and theres no sense in acting like little kids.

yeah, i hate some of the fans.. theyre seriously annoying.
the guys are really good people, and they have changed me into a better person, but they havent saved my life. im not easily moved :P
