Question: I grew up on the Charlie Rich version, and it's tops for me. That drum roll is killer. But Mark Chestnut has done a fairly respectable cover. What say you guys?

As much as I like Mark Chesnut it`s hard to beat the original by The Silver Fox
Definitely Mark Chesnut... especially his earlier stuff. Too Cold at Home is one of my all-time favorites.

Charlie Rich is apart of Country musics history. His music was part of my childhood. They way he sung Behind Closed Doors and The Most Beautiful Girl just touched me. Music back then really touched you deep in your soul. He wrote his own music, today most Artists don't thats why his music means so much even today it came from his heart not someone elses.
There is a lot of feeling in his music there not just words.
Mark Chestnut is good but Charlie Pride is a Ledgend.

Yes, I think he did a very good job on it. I can't wait for April 29th for the release of his new cd by the same name.
Both singers do the song justice and both have their own style however the Charlie Rich version is the beter of the two.
