No there is no vocal damage, so dont worry. Maybe try singing a bit more higher rather then lower. It might be difficalt it also might help to write a song, with lyrics and sing how it is comftorbale to you, Then try and compare your voice to either; Lower, Medium or higher. That way you can sing at your perfered way, like when you are younger you write with your perfered hand. Writting your own song will make it easier to see where you are in notation and you can find the perfect pitch for yourself.
20 is an adult my friend
The reason is that everyone has a different range for singing (and speaking), men and women. While some of this can be slightly augmented over time, by doing vocal exercises (essentially stretching out your vocal chords), the base of the range will always stay the same. You are not doing any damage to your vocal chords but I would gradually use them more and more to prevent any temporary voice-loss.
find a song that really suits your voice. why are you practising lower notes? maybe you can try toni braxton songs. when you are 18 you are considered as an adult and since you said you are 20 that means you are an adult.
