What is everyone and hating MCR??!
Question: I think it is an awsome band, i dont get why people hate them so much. I love the music that they play, the lyrics are slightly odd (dont make sence) from time to time, but they are a good band. I guess this is my point of view, but come on, they are a good alterative rock band. Admit it.

My Chemical Romance is a great band... love their work... their true artists, and great guys. You guys should watch a few interviews about them on YouTube, they're really great guys.

They are an awesome band. Some people pigeon hole themselves to only one type or style of music and can't see the pure genius in some of their songs

I don't like all their songs, but that's true for most artists, we pick and choose certain one's to be favorites. However, I LOVE several of their more popular songs and so do my kids, we jam out all the time!
I don't hate MCR. In fact, I love "I Don't Love You". But that's the only song I care about. I personally don't listen to them because they are so mainstream and most of their songs bore me. I guess I'm too old lol.

Most of there old songs are ok but the newones are just wrong.
ahh admit it....i could say the same thing, admit it, they suck as a band. personally, i dont care one way or the other. i dont like them, but i dont hate them either. the only thing that bothers me about that band are the fans who feel it is necessary to constantly post questions about why people hate them. like or love your band and let it be.
THEY ARE NOT AN "ALTERNATIVE ROCK" BAND. THEY ARE A "POP" BAND. Rock and alternative bands have at least some element of originality and rebellion. MCR is just pathetic self-pity manufactured for 9 year olds. Gerard Way will never be Kurt Cobain no matter how much he wishes he was.

Wow, I must correct you. They are not emo, but they certainly aren't alternative. They are pop rock. People will and do strongly dislike them.

No, I don't not like them. You want to know why I don't? Well, for one thing I was never a fan of their music. However, 90% of the reason that I don't like them is because of their annoying fans. They praise MCR each and everyday. They even come to the conclusion that MCR saved their life. I mean, come on I would never like a band that much to say that "they saved my life". What is up with people these days?

because its the cool thing to dislike the ppl bettter than you... ppl just dont want to admit that a band full of no bodies are quite possibly the best band to live.... i get hated on almost every day because i like them... i dont want to have sex or make out with any of them.. i like them because their music is amazing and lyrics are beautiful and meaningfull...

They're a lame excuse for a band. They're just a passing trend.
Actually, I feel it is because they are just a marketing ploy to get money out of impressionable youth. They are EXACTLY the same as all the image-based poser 80's bands like Cinderella or Wasp or Poison or Ratt, just updated with a darker edge to appeal to a more 'angsty' generation. So for those of us who dislike them, it is probably because we see through the shallow hype. That's why. I loved KISS back in the day, just as much as you love MCR. I guess the difference is that KISS IS STILL COOL!! Where will MCR be in five years? But hey, enjoy them! It's only a band.

thank you so much for posting this! It is so true! (i'm not being sarcastic) My Chem is my favorite band ever. I can't wait till' i get to go see them in concert! XDDDDD And if you want their music to make sense you need to listen more carefully. I love the lyrics and find them very inspirational. I must be weird or something because i understand them easily....
I can't wait to go up to that little table and see my idols. and have them sign my poster XDDDD
