Do you agree with Immortal Technique's Socialist views?!
Question: Obviously a lot of people are finally starting to take notice of Immortal Technique. Despite not actually affiliating himself with socialism, his views on censorship, foreign policy, social equality, etc. are clearly socialist. My question to Immortal Technique fans is: do you agree with his views, or do you think his views are too extreme but still respect him for expressing himself?

To be honest, and this is just my personal opinion, but about 90% of what he says is nonsense...I mean, what makes him so sure that he's right? Just cuz' he yells a few words that rhyme, I'm supposed to buy into everything he says, when the only evidence he presents is a few New World Order videos on youtube, which are blatantly doctored? If anything, he's a Fascist...but, that's the great thing about politics..people are allowed to have differeing views as the search for the most proficient society continues...

Yes, fascism is technically right-wing, but his approach and technique (pun intended) to how he handles himself is very reminiscent of a certain leader from Italy...
I think his views are a bit extreme, but I still respect him. I mean, who else can rap about these issues and put it into a good song?? I am 15 so you could say I am a little young to understand most of his topics, which is partially true, but he can make some good, deep music so I'm content.

He's VERY extreme, but I can't say that he's alway's wrong..and I respect gulliness like that..he's got WAY OUT views, but he still spits them..tho I wish he would rap about somethin else..
There are times when he can take it over the top, and I don't agree with everything he's gotta say, but you gotta respect him for saying it the way he sees it. Some people can't handle what he says, and he's one of the few artists who REALLY takes advantage of the first amendment.

You have to look at his view point from where he came from. Obviously some of his ideas middle class people are never going to relate to. Some of those who are less fortunate might agree more with his point of view because they know where he is coming from.
I personally do not agree with his views, but I respect where he is coming from. He is an amazing rapper with, honestly, a lot of hatred towards a lot of different people.

As someone who's brother is pretty much as extreme politically as immortal technique I have to say I do understand most of what he says and to a fair extent agree. The people with Power & Money are never going to let their grip on the world go though but I'd rather people were out there telling the side of the story that IT does.
Technique gets by on the fact that a lot of his fans (myself included a lot of the time) have no idea what the **** he is talking about.
I don't listen to him for political ideology, just controversy and shock value. If I want political ideology I'll listen to Boots Riley from The Coup (which I do.)
yea he takes it to the extreme on some tracks but kid does his homework. Dig up some info on things he raps about and you'll see its not all B.S....
Some of the things he says are a bit out there - and like Crypt says, he needs to check his facts sometimes.
But yeah, most of my political views fall into the "socialist" category. I believe in the equal distribution of wealth and with power lying more with the people than the rulers of the country. I also think western society has become far too much about money - which is not only to our own detriment as human beings, but to the detriment of countries all around the world.
At the same time, there are some things in socialism I don't agree with - I try to treat each issue as an individual thing rather than just put my beliefs in a box then blindly follow doctrines because of that.
cosigning Crypt and qwerty... He is a nice rapper... but honestly he sounds like he is crazy... I really cant take a dude that is so extreme like that seriously... Somebody needs to hug the dude...
