Do rock guitarists have naturally curly hair or is it permed?!
Question: I'm thinking about the likes of Brian May, Slash, Angus Young and so on. I wish I could maintain a similar style. How do they acheive it and why so prevalent in guitarists?

hey!!!xox i think its something to do with all the electricity they have in their arms and all around them!!LOL...I am certain that Slash has naturally curly hair cos i knew his sister for a while back in the 90's when i was living in the Midlands (thats near Birmingham U.K) and she has curly hair too, we smoked some drugs together and havent seen her since. dont perm your hair it can be really damaging for a look that doesnt last very long.. p.s thanx for the advice on the rehab issue i have!!x

Slash it looks genuine. Brian May looks permed and Angus Young looks like a wig. Just get it permed to get the look.Nice and easy.

When people become successful in something and earn fame, they adopt different styles which suit them and which make a demarcation for themselves from others
Some will be natural & some will have perms.Its more common 4 men to get perms than it used 2 b but 4 most men its natural.
It depends on their genetics. Like, Slash has African-American genetic DNA in him, so he has naturally curly hair. :]
Other guys like Brian probably get it permed. :]
The only thing I'd think they'd do with their hair is use a smoothing milk formula, or styling gel to keep those curls tight.

Alot of them have their hair permed, but a few have naturally curly hair.
Permed. It is the fashion among Rock Guitarists. You would have to grow your hair to shoulder length then perm. Wash and just let dry. If you do it while short you will end up with a little Afro.

Those mentioned all have natural curly or wavy hair. Most guitarists that I've seen have straight hair. Can't head bang with curls, LOL
Yep, definitely permed!!! But it makes you think, what if rock guitarists had a different look e.g. cool, well shaven, handsome etc ?
