hope this helps, these are some of the songs i started with...just keep at it, 15-20 min. a day and you'll be surprised how easy it comes....not sure what chords you know already but focus on the 5 major chords D A G E C, then work on AM EM F and the "B's" (B BM BB). once you can play these chords, there are hundreds of songs you'll be able to play....ultimate guitar.com is a good site for music
first song i ever learned was Mr. Jones by counting crows. Only like 5 chordes in the song.
