I'm 20 and in college...is it too late to try to start a band...?!
Question: I have absolutely no experience in any aspect of it and would ideally like to do the vocals...
I just love music more than like anything and realize that the road I'm on doesn't lead to the kind of life i want...way too boring and static...
But I know most popular bands and all that start in highschool...am I too old?

your never to pld to play music or start a band, especially if you have good vocals, just find some friends that enjoy the music you want to play, write some lyrics and practice, but i do suggest to play some cover songs before writing your own. it helps.

If you have a passion for the music, then do it!
The music scene today isn't what it used to be, even if you're really good, you might never become a "popular band" but I think what counts the most is loving what you do, loving the music you make, the shows you play, and just having fun with it. That's what it's all about. :]

especially if you enjoy it and are really good at it.
find a band thats already started that needs vocals would be the easiest thing for you to do at this point.
I think college is a great time in your life to start a band. One of my friends had a band when she was in college and they played small gigs at the college. I'd stay in college (always good to have a back up plan) and do music on the side until you graduate.

im 11 and trying to start my own band but i know it wont happen till im like 18 or 20 or something
