no true one genre is making more money than the other so you cant really label who makes more money because the one thing that determines the money you bring in is if your good at what you do or not so just play what you love and are good at and hope for the best!
umm im asuming it would be the more main stream bands like fall out boy and maybe even my chemical romance and if you want o count for little kids jonas brothers

The bands that make the most are generally those that tour the most. Only the promoters get rich off of festivals, when the bill has to support a half dozen bands.
What with CD sales what they are, "rockstars" are going to have to learn to be musicians, if they want the money.
Oh and of course Hannah Montana makes money, her fans aren't busy saving their cash for drugs and booze.
