What do you think is the meaning, behind the song The Wall by Pink Floyd ??!
Question: I've seen the movie and listened to the album and read others interpretations, and I still don't know what the real meaning is behind it, and if you listen to a lot of songwriters, they often say the meaning behind songs is left to the listener's own imagination.... I think that is how art and music and movies become important to us...
If you have not already seen it, I definitely recommend watching the movie...

About the futility of realizing you are nobody. And that you are being programmed to obey society.
The concept is about the invisible walls we build around ourselves, at a personal, as well as a societal level. Then, how we maintain those walls. Also, it's just plain good music.
I agree with Corrosion EAC and Jasmine, but I think it is also about events that have happened in the past; everything that has brought pain or misery or maybe even both to one band member or all of them.
