It would have to be either Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight," or Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five's "The Message," cause those two really set the game off. Other songs have actually been better formed, with better lyrics, advanced flows, and innovative production, but the wheel has to be invented before someone can reinvent it, and these two songs are two of the towering tracks in hip-hop history, and can still get you pumped up.
