I sent another in yesterday. I have about an hour to kill. Just tell me what to do. Are we reporting individual questions or are we sending in a report to the y_answrs_teasm@yahoo.com?
If we are reporting individuals questions, which option do you want us to choose and what do you want us to use as the actual "abuse" terminology...(ie: repetitive question, not a question, chat etc.) ...just so that everyone is on the same page.
If anyone wants the links to the profile ID's for a report form, feel free to email me and I will forward them to you. I have 24 I believe that are active. 2 have been suspended.

I am writing you once again in hopes that I might enlist your help as to what is the best way to handle this particular situation and get some direction from you.
The answers country music category has been under attack the past two months from an abusive member who has created 26 accounts. 2 of those accounts have been suspended to date but there are 24 currently active at the moment; 12 of those created in just the past two days.
Each of their accounts is used to post 5 questions per day; all repetitive questions. This amounts to over 100 questions daily, all the same, being posted to the board in which has created a considerable amount of angst for the individuals that wish to participate in answers for the purpose it is intended for.
Unfortunately, this person feels he has the right to abuse the other legitimate members by inundating us with the same questions using different aliases over and over.
According to your guidelines, posting repetitive questions is against the TOS or CG. I have made an attempt to report them as I see them but fear that it only adds to the overload of reports that you already have to deal with. 24 accounts is rather hard to keep up with and has destroyed the legitimacy of the country music category but if you would be so kind as to use the information provided, I have faith that you could do something in order to preserve the integrity of the site.
I am providing you with the history and profiles of each ID in hopes that someone would be so kind as to take a further look into it and determine that is in fact, considered abusive.
Please advise as to whether this information is of use to you or provide me with some guidance as to what information you need in order to prevent this from continuing. As it stands now, many members have ceased participation out of mere frustration while others are taking complete advantage of it by answering hundreds of the question knowing full well that this member does not choose a best answer so it provides them the ability to add to their status by answering.
The other problem created by this type of abuse is that those who are posting legitimate questions, seeking an answer, are overlooked as their question does not even stand out among this person's incessant behavior, making it incredibly hard to be seen or heard.
I am truly at a loss as to what to do and / or what I can do in order to provide you with the information you need in order to cause the abuse to cease, if that is even possible.

Tex, I've worked my fingers to the bone reporting him/her and all I have to show for it is bony fingers!!! I've spent some time thinking about this (too much time in fact) and this is my conclusion.
1) reporting has no effect because a) Yahoo takes no action, and b) Randy apparently can and will open countless accounts so even IF Yahoo did something it wouldn't solve the problem.
2) ignoring the questions doen't work either because there will always be others who respond, giving Randy the attention he/she desperately craves.
3) answering the questions with a rude non-answer only gets us a violation notice and solves nothing.
so.....I thought back to what I learned in several psychology classes. The best solution is to outplay Randy. Starting yesterday, I have answered several dozen of his/her questions by cutting and pasting an appropriate response.
For example: "do you know any country songs?"
"Yes, I know all of them", or "no!"
"do they have this song on...?"
"yes", or "no"
I have noticed a couple others are doing the same thing and I give them thumbs up. If we all do this consistently, it may work. However, it needs to be done in a fairly specific way. No rudeness, no insults, no non-answers. Just a cut and paste answer that gives no info. and we may outweigh those who offer other answers to the point that Randy decides to play in another sandbox.

When I was a top contributor and reported someone with less points, it was removed immediately. I don't know how it works now, but I know its changed. That's why I don't think reporting will accomplish anything. Everyone answering here says they have reported. Seems like most of Randy's questions get at least two reports, yet they don't get pulled. I know I've reported at least A HUNDRED myself.
