Yes, Bach's Toccata In D Minor (Fugue) is most likely the peice you are thinking of - seems to be in a lot of horror movies, haunted houses, etc.
As for good classical music: I like Prokofiev (esp. Romeo and Juliet), Tchaikovsky (Swan Lake, Romoe and Juliet, pieces from the Nutcracker Suite, etc.), Mozart (esp. Eine Kleine Nachtmusik), Beethoven (Song of Brotherhood, Fur d'Elise, Moonlight Sonata, etc.), and so on.
To find some that YOU like, go to somewhere like i-Tunes (the i-Pod store website) and browse "Classical." You can play little snippets of lots of different things until you find some pieces that you like. Then you can either purchase them from that website, or write down the names and composers and purchase the songs elsewhere.

You should really try all the Bach organ works. They're very complex, and yet graceful and seamless at the same time. Very good mental workout to listen to them, and a mental marathon to play them!
