My Ovation Applause...?!

Question: I had elixir polyweb string on my guitar. then i changed them for D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze Light. my guitar had so much high action on it. the bridge is fine so is the neck of the guitar. its just the strings are so damn high off the fret idk why.. please help me

tighten the metal rod inside the neck. it takes an allen head and you tighten it up where the strings are. its normal when changing strings
