What is it that makes your band your favorite?!
Question: Mine is Van Halen...Love every song they did with Dave and all but 3 with Sammy(3rd singer I dont count-1good song lol), this is why they rank on my top spot...with Ozzy a close second.

I love every one of their songs, they are all so different but so cool. Their first album, The Weaks End, was very hardcore and had amazing guitar. Their second album, The Question, was more of an alt metal, with some lighter stuff, and their new album, I'm Only A Man, is amzing. It's like an alt rock album, with less hardcore, and great lyrics.

My favorite band is Norma Jean, I have no f c u k i n g clue why.
There are 3 things I consider when selecting my favorite band.
First, does the music inspire me to sing along dance or rock out in any form or fashion?
Second, does the band have consistently good lyrics containing metaphors and philosophy?
Third does their music go well with Stout?
Based on these questions My favorite bands are Blues Traveler and the Pogues, followed closely by Flogging Molly.

hm... that's hard, i'd say that they're in my top 5 bands when i can listen to their CD's on repeat for a while without getting tired of them, and i know a lot about them
Children of Bodom is my favorite band. What makes them so good is Alexi's guitar playing. It is absolutely incredible, he is so in tune with music and he makes everything flow together so well.
Also they're obnoxiously heavy guitar tone. It is sick.

My favorite bands are Buckcherry and Hinder. I love Buckcherry because the lead singer, Josh Todd, actually relates to what he writes and sings about. I love Hinder because their songs are all about relationships and everyone can relate to that. I also like the fact that the bands write all of their own music and they don't care what people think of them. They don't pretend to be something they're not.
My favorite band is Talking Heads. The reason is the sheer diversity of music they performed in their career. They went from country ("People Like Us," "Creatures of Love") to funk (all of "Remain in Light") to some of the best dance music ever created (all of the "Speaking in Tongues" album) to punk ("Psycho Killer"). All of that great music complimenting David Byrne's wild, wonderful, wacky lyrics.
On top of all that, Rich Hall did a great impersonation of Byrne!

The lyrics, the sound, the band members. I just love the band. The members are some of the nicest dudes ever, and can actually play their instruments. I love that their lyrics arn't just about breaking up with some girl and wanting to cut themselves.
