Answers: i see alot of people like rappers based on sales would u respect a rapper just for selling alot of records i know i wouldnt

No. If anything it'd probably put me off - I don't trust what the masses buy because most of it is garbage (yes, I know there are exceptions, but not nearly enough).

Look how much Britney has sold, or Celine Dion. It doesn't make them good, it just makes them willing to let themselves be whored out and dumbed down to make money.

I've got more respect for artists who sell less because they refuse to do that.

no. i dont respect 50 cent, Nelly or Soulja Boi (did he sell a mill? shows how much i care about him)

in the words of the great Immortal Technique; "if you go platinum it has nothing to do with luck, it just means a million people are stupid as f*ck"

I still wouldn't respect them. Just because they sell millions of records doesn't mean they can actually make good music. (Rapper stuff is always about the same ****)

nope i dont, i respected kanye before most people ever heard of him, same for uk rapper durrty goodz

nope, cause half the crap their selling these days is garbage. No meaning and the beat is the same as every other beat you hear on the damn radio.

umm no I would not. As a matter of fact most of the rappers that sell millions of records suck. I actually don't listen to much rap but for music in general I would say this. The amount of records you sell is not what makes you........talented. Most of the music I listen to are bands and artist that people never heard of. And when the bands I listen start going all over the radio and everyone starts liking them I start to not like the band as much...ha ha maybe it just because I enjoy being different but yeah I wouldn't respect someone just because they sold millions of records. you said you mean people you might talk to about music....well Idk I mean my cousin is into rap and he dosent like all those rappers that sell millions so I would say if they are a TRUE rap fan they wouldn't care about the humber of recors sold they would care about the talent of the rapper

I actually call them
lucky. and people are stupid enough
to buy crap.

no. everyone has a different type of music they like to listen to, but it shouldn't matter how much that artist makes.

no.

No, selling a lot of records means that a lot of people like him/her. I don't care whether people like him/her or not, as long as I like them, it doesn't matter how many they sell.

Not at all.
