i think they're music is totally stupid espeically compared to old school classic rap, MC Hammer, Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Dr.Dre, and others. i want music like that!

their's plenty of good underground rap you just have to look for it.... don't listen to the radio stations thats all they play is sh*tty songs over and over again.... listen to Blu & exile, talib kweli, Mos def, Lupe fiasco, Rakim, crown city rockers... all those guys are good unlike the people on the radio...

like i said in another q about this, rappers these days talk about overrated things like jewelry, cars, sex, women, money, selling drugs, and killing. back in the old days, rappers actually talked about real issues and current world events. rap music as we knew it actually stood for something back then. now, it's gone straight to hell!

well turn off the radio and embrace urself in the talent in the underground. it is just endless. u should try listening to immortal technique, but he's probably too political for your taste.
I agree. Some people say that this is just a new movement in rap music(like new jack swing in the 90's). I hate it. The only rap music I listen to is from the 90's and early 00's. Rap music just talks about dancing today and no deeper meanings like life.
Rap isnt even rap right now its more or less annoying, I heard some say you have to go underground like Immortal Technique or Rakim, well I did that back around 2004 because I was bored......2008 comes up and guess what it got worse. I was born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s for the real Hip Hop and rap. Thats where the talent was, and thats where it peaked because it was for culture and for purpose. Im not saying some dont still do that (Immortal Technique) but the damage has been done by the ones that flooded the industry with all there non-sense to try to be cool. The industry almost killed itself, Im in my mid 20s now and rap (unless its the old classics) for me is done. None of the underground can even change it anymore Ive heard it all before and its all same.
