Question: like when you play a song about 5 seconds before the song fnishes the next song plays so there is no stoppage between the transition to the next song. can only certain media players do this or can i tunes do this and what is it called?

crossfade playback, that's what it's called on iTunes
you have to go to edit, then preferences, and then the playback tab
Itunes does it. It's the fade.
I think it's called a medley.
