Answers: i mean, i dont care if they like rock music, wwhy do ppl hate on rap muzik?

because those ppl are haters.

in white ppl language, their in denial.

because its sounds loud and has no tune for you to sing along to. its sounds like scratching and to a lot of people those noises get uncomfortable.

I dont like the beat

plus I mostly like rock, screamo, alternative music...
I never liked rap but some are ok

Surely you have music you dont like...
maybe country

cuz da motha ****** dumb azz haters

Because it's boring. And it sounds outright dumb.

Well, for one, people usually associate rap with gangs and people committing crimes. The music promotes all the bad sterotypes like those too. The music also uses a lot of dirty language and most of them just brag about what they have. They give a bad name to black people. BUT, I know there is good rap without all the negative stuff. MF Doom, Del, Common, etc. People won't look hard enough to find the good kind of rap, but if they do, they'll find that it can actually be real poetry and not just rhymes about hos and cars.

excuse me but rap is my life

maybe cuz it tendz to cuss alot and sometimes u cant understand what they are saying

cuz they hate rap is the ****
phuck all that r agaist it

i personaly
HATE RAP!
it annoys me!

who knows dumb as s mofos don't like a genre of music but they listen to it anyway & come on Yahoo Answers and b itch about how much they dis like it

They think that it is inappropriate music with a bad message...people blame rap for everything, drugs, slang, cussing, and they think rappers have no skillz cuz they don't play instruments...they also hear that dumb *** rap like soulja boy on the radio today and it makes them hate rap even more even though they probably haven't even listened to a good rap album...

It's a funny thing. When you talk about someone's music, you're hitting something deep and very emotional.

Deep inside the people that don't like rap don't like it because it isn't who they are. It doesn't reflect their ideas and their dreams. It really shows the disparity between the two cultures.

On a different track, there is an hypocrisy in the white culture when it comes to music. The group Buckcherry recently came out with a song called "Crazy *****". If that song were sung by black men everyone would hate it. It's a rude and crude song, but for some reason, people turn off their ears because they like the music. So the saying that rap is bad because it's crass and vulgar holds no water. You can be crass and vulgar, but still be 'okay' if you put a guitar to it.

Rap IS music. Not in the way that most people would think of it. You don't have to play an instrument to make rap music, but one must consider that the music is an artform regardless of whether or not they 'like' it.

Simple test. If you think Collage and mosaics can be visual artforms, then you must admit that rap music is also art. It takes talent to rap well. Your voice control must be disciplined and you still need a good voice to sound good. You don't need to put a note to it, but you should also realize that a lot of rap is done to a key. As well, the background music that most DJs like to play is usually a 'mix'. You can't just throw stuff together and call it music. You have to listen to it, read it and understand it before you can start throwing the pieces together to make an entirely new creation. It may sound a little strange as the new creation is "Frankensteined" together, but it's still music, it's still an art.

So the artistic argument is false. Rap music is music and also is art. The crudeness and vulgarity argument is also false according to my argument about the group Buckcherry.

Now, it's okay to NOT like rap music. But there is a problem in that people who don't like rap music don't just "Dislike" it. They HATE rap music. But I can almost guarantee that they don't hate all rap music. Kid Rock is a rapper and he's successful among whites. The Beastie Boyz were also a very successful group that white america loved. Both use vulgarity and crudeness so you can see the hypocrisy when white america says it's okay for Kid Rock to call women 'hoes' but it's not for 50 cent.

So it's not the lyrics, and it's not the artform itself. It's not the vulgarity either. Arguing those points is really avoidance of the real issues:

1) White America doesn't understand Black Rap music

2) White America finds Black Rap music offensive and an affront to their social norms.

3) White America continues to deny racial problems and impose double-standards in their society and the greatest indication of it is in their choice of music.

CLARIFICATION: You are not racist because of your taste of music. Your taste of music is really only a by-product of your own racism.

LASTLY: Everyone's a little bit racist. It's okay as long as you try to acknowledge it. I am racist too, but I'm not afraid to talk about it.

the same reason that you hate rock and screamo n shite like that beacuse its not there style i think that we should all just stfu about all the haters and mind your own ya noe, not a danm person means anything to the next person so lets just shut up and listen to our lovely music...people are gonna think what they want and like what they want nobody could stop you and u danm sure aint gonna stop nobody else.....but i do like rap nun of this new shite tho i stick to the real

ppl dont like rap because they think there is no positive message to it and it only talks about sex/drugs/gangs....

If you actually take the time to listen to some of the words intead of judging it maybe then ppl would think twice.
