They are both classics, but I have always liked Zeppelin more and therefore that is my answer!
Led Zeppelin. I don't listen to The Who very often and don't know most of their music. As far as debut albums go, Led Zeppelin is one of the best.

Zeppelin all the way. I like The Who, but I think every Zeppelin album is better than every Who album hands down.
Zepp, because I prefer it, lol. I like both, but I like Led Zeppelin more.
Who's Next is an Awesome album and The Who's best effort IMO, that being said...
Led Zeppelin 1 totally PWNS it.

i would take who's next by far...personally, i don't think led zeppelin was really a great effort, they did some much better work later in their career...who's next was the who's magnum opus, the whole album is excellent top to bottom and i would take it over led zeppelin any day of the week
As much as I love Zeppelin and have every cd they have put out. I would have to give the nod to Who's Next. Zeppelin I was a great album but I happen to find Who's Next to be better, not by much though.
had it been Houses or Physical Grafitti, then I would've given the nod to Zeppelin
No offence dude, but why would you pick two albums from such different periods of rock history?
Led Zeps debut was great for something recorded in 1968, released in '69...and The Who's 6th album, 'Who's Next' was great too. I'm not sure why you've referred to it as their 1st...possibly due to your age and lack of knowledge? Just a wild guess.
And by the way, some of the Who's best material was released long before 'Who's Next'. Just thought you should know. So as far as your "it might has well be" statement is concerned, all I have to say is "WHAT"?
They were both great for different reasons, and can hardly be compared for technical superlativness or creative ability. No offense young fella, but that's like comparing The Beatles 'White Album' to The Cars 'Candy O'...lol
Anybody who knows the first thing about music knows that Led Zep was influenced by several bands including The Who. Especially the later 60's Who...John Entwistle and Keith Moon rule. If you've ever seen either band live such as I. then you'd agree. The Who make Led Zeppelin look like 2nd class wannabes.
