When people say rap sucks, what do you say?!
Question: I would probably say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. A Lot of people categorize rap music as being all the same but a lot of people have never given it a real listen. Rap has a lot of stories in it. Sometimes rap is beautiful and sometimes rap is funny and sometimes rap is dirty but I would much prefer all of that to some screaming and harsh guitar beats that hurt my ears. Rap is considered poetry to a lot of people with a nice beat in the background and it has a really interesting background that a lot of people don't know about. A lot of people who say rap sucks haven't given it the time of day.

first Rap does not suck second it depends on who said it b/c they probably don't know where it had first started or where day repped it up.
I say, "You got that right!" I much prefer a song with an actual melody and decent words you can understand and sing along with. But, to each his own....
I would tell them i think country sucks, but you don't see me going around telling every country lover that there music sucks, cuz I'm sure it doesn't to them, just like rap doesn't suck to me, I enjoy music I can dance too.
I say don't listen and don't try to force your opinions on someone else ... (example... coming in a forum of a genre of music you don't like and tell people how much you hate it . its just taking it overboard

I say old rap and hip hop is fine.
The new stuff.
The reasonw hy people say it "sucks" is because it focuses on few aspects.
Sex, drugs, money.
Thats IT.
And all they do is repeat the same lines over and over again.
I don't have anything against it.
But most of the black people or "rappers" of this day and age can't spell, talk right, or make sense of their songs.
