Van Halen reunion tour cancellations, Eddie back in rehab?!

Question: http://www.pr-inside.com/entertainment-b...

Is anybody else amazed that the person that Eddie is fighting with is actually his own son and not Roth (Roth isn't even mentioned in the article)?

I think it proves something that has been quietly kept under wraps for the last 25 years. Eddie is a far bigger head case than David Lee Roth ever was. Yes, it is somewhat surprising although I can hardly blame Wolfgang at all. It's very sad when a 17 year old has more common sense to grasp what's at stake here. If that were my dad, I'd either kick his *** or drag him kicking and screaming back into rehab.

I'm not surprised. Clearly Eddie is the problem.

Hahaha!

Eddie: "Sorry Wolfy, I WILL pick the drink over you!...and then throw a hissy fit after! How dare you try to deprive me from being the drunk that I am!"

I am not shocked at all. Wolfgang has more at stake in Eddie's life than just the band. He could lose his father to alcoholism. Great kid!!!

Funny, 'cause just yesterday they were talking about the rescheduled dates.... make up your f'n mind.

I've also heard that Dave has been a real saint during all of this and his only issue has been frustration over "Eddie's sloppy playing."

Wow.

Of course, this all pales in comparison to the biggest news to break in the last few days......

Trixter has reunited! Woo Hoo! Yeah! Give it to me good!

(Sarcasm.... I has it.)

NP: "Set Me Free" - Velvet Revolver

Edit: Speaking of Britny Fox... they're still around... with one original member... the bass player.

The bass player?

The BASS PLAYER?

Who in the blue f*ck gives a rat's @$$ about going to see the BASS PLAYER for Britny Fox?!?

not surprised at all....it may be a band..but they are still a 16 yr old and his father...it would be more amazing if they weren't fighting...

Eddie either in rehab or has cancer again. No one can get along with Eddie.

Sammy H. said "Life's too short to have to deal with him".

I'm somehow not really surprised, Eddie has to realize that he can't party like he used to, he will have to give it up eventually, apparently he would rather have the booze then his own son which is shameful

I'm not shocked that he maybe going back to rehab, I mean after all of those years performing under the influence, it would be hard to go back to doing it sober. That's a long habit to break.

I'm just glad I saw them at the beginning of the tour when Eddie actually seemed rejuvenated on the stage. From what I read in reviews, it wasn't long after he came to Boston when things started going downhill on this tour. I think as soon as they announced the tour was 50 dates or whatever, people started placing bets on how long it would take before they cancelled shows. Surprised that it wasn't a fight w/ DLR, but not surprised it involved Eddie.

It's very sad, alcoholism is a tough disease to live with, it's even worse for the loved ones of the alcoholic.

Does anyone really "enjoy a stint in rehab"? Who wrote that article, Betty Ford?

I'm not amazed but saddened when a kid has to play the parent in any family. Nice goin' Valerie!

Last photo I saw of Eddie, he had the skin of a newborn babe.... maybe he's getting more 'work' done while he's at it. Scary.

I do feel for Wolfy, tho.
