i liked them both but it is only the music that is the same not the words in the second one so for me the original is best but i am a true 80s girl
Still think PM Dawn's Set Adrift on Memory Bliss reworking is far superior to to the rather bland original
Spandau Ballet's Original Version of the Song It was one of their biggest hits
Set adrift on memory bliss WASN'T the same as True.
So the only version is the original by the Spands.
And I say that as a Durannie, by the way
The "bland" version of "True" by Spandau Ballet tore up the charts in North America and Europe for a 6 months in 1984 reaching #1 in many of those markets. It has been used extensively in popular fiction through movies and tv programs.
PM Dawn's version is not a "version" of TUreu. You might say its remix but it really is its own creative work using s "sample" of True. I think it is a really good song in its own right though!
