Why do musicians like Lil' Wayne?!
Question: Ok first I should say that i'm an Underground Hip-Hop-Head so I don't like almost any of the mainstream stuff, but on to the question:
Can somebody explain to me why Lil' Wayne get respect from so many other Hip-Hop artists?
I mean, he gets props from everyone from underground artists like Little Brother, Mick Boogie,
to more mainstream guys like Kanye West and Robin Thicke.
To me he seems to be a TERRIBLE rapper. His verse on Kanye's album ruins the whole song it's on.
Can anyone explain to me why he gets cred from ppl b/c I just don't understand it. I mean, not to stray too far from the topic but I hate 50cent and I'd even say I prefer 50 to Wayne based on rap skill alone.
So does he actuall have some skill I'm not seeing yet? Because he seems to be lyrically challenged in all the new stuff I've heard him in.

I totally agree on Barry Bonds he freaking killed the track w/ his non-making sense raps. "I'm Cole like Keisha's family"? It'd make sense if her last name was COLD. Idiot. Anyway..
BUT the fact is these youngsters today love him. It's like all the rappers today get Akon & T-Pain on a hook 'cause they know it'll get played over and over and over and over again on the radio. So..no.. he has no skills along w/ Soulja Boy.

It makes me sad to say it, but MONEY. Lil Wayne is crap, but the fact is, he sells by the bucketload and associating yourself with him will make you money.
Lil wayne aka weezy f baby , Well he got more swagger then most artists , Plus he drops mixtapes like every week.
Hes one everyones features and hes getting heavy promotion , People like him period.
