Eh...not really so much as friends,but family...all the time!It's funny when my grandparents hear what I listen to.They're always complaining they can't understand it,it's devil music,turn it down,etc.But my dad agrees with my music taste(for the most part) and my mom and step-dad could care less,but my step-dad like the same bands as I do
My favorite band of all time is FALL OUT BOY, but I used to be really into the 50's and 60's eventhough I'm only 15. Whenever I sing along to Elvis or Chubby Checkers, they always get annoyed. It's funny.

Im white and into rock or hard rock music and I have a lot of "colored" friends and I'm usually giving one or more of them a ride home after working out. They can't stand me listening to my music, they prefer rap or R&B. Sometimes one of them, Matt, comes home and chills with me and my girlfriend and I'll torture him some more by playing songs on my guitar...I guess you can't please everyone.

Haha, I can say that I've never tried that before. I like to think that my music is a bit above that of a torture device lol.

my friends all listen to hip hop and light rock.
and ill always listen to my heavy rock/ metal when they come
and so they come over and take one of my earphones ready to hear cyclone or something
and shreik and pull it out of their ear saying "OMG U AND UR EMO CRAP!"

My brother absolutely HATES screaming, and so whenever a band I like does a cover of a song he likes (Calvary Boys cover of Crank Dat and Brokencyde's cover of Low) I set it as my ringtone, and his for when I call him, so he gets reminded of it everytime the phone rings.
Well, a lot of my friends listen to the same stuff as me. But they don't like the really heavy stuff. So, Liferuiner and Suicide Silence really annoys them.
i do exactly the same. my mate ****** hates hardcore/metalcore so i play bring me the horizon on full volume in my car when i pick him up. he always tries changin it so i told him to put a cd in by a band called the 'architects'. Him being silly thinkin that they were an indie band got a very nasty shock

and then driving in the car, late at night, its real dark, mates are feeling the pace, taking them home from a late night, put on a dark, deep, loud Drum 'n' Bass track....trips them out every time, ha ha...
It isn't quite as scary as your music (lol) but the other night my roomate was being a drunken ***** in the car on the way home, so I blasted some Godsmack (which she despises, she listens to John Mayer) and it was awesome. It completely shut her up :)
Maybe not torture per se but during the late 80's and 90's, I was fed a steady diet of Poison and White Lion by certain individuals I associated with. Rather than call it torture, I felt more like I was expanding their horizons or performing a publice service of sorts. Ministry - The Land of Rape and Honey was a rude awakening for hair-metal nation.
It almost seems unfair. You're "torturing" them with decent music, and their ANNOYING you with gorilla noises?

And I do it all the time. I live in Alabama, and all of my friends adore country, like whoa. So anything loud and angry upsets them.

Just about anything I play annoys everyone around me at any given time. It's pretty pathetic. For instance, right now I'm listening to a mix cd I made of hits from the 1950's. Next up after is Bette Midlers greatest hits, then the Righteous Brothers, following is Copelands music for America, then Neil Diamonds greatest hits and finally, finish up with the soundtrack to musical Chicago.
What can I say, I'm in a quirky mood today and I'm at home doing some housekeeping. I need music to keep me moving!

anyways they listen more to hip hop, rap umm reggea etc...
what i did is everytime they came to my house i always put death metal cuz hardcore didnt bother them that much, anyways i drived them crazy. heheh i still bother them..
