Answers: The studio version from the album of the same name or the ultra cool acoustic version from the 18 TRACKS Album?
Why?

The 18 Tracks version. In this version the chorus doesn't dominate the song.

The silent one.

i gotta prefer the BORN IN THE USA L.P, my mum got it me... awesome present!!!!

i like the one where he sings "Born in the us, born in the us, born in the usa" come on you know the one, it's by Bruce Springsteen.

Born In the USA suck.. Bruce Springsteen sucks..

ive only heard the original version but i think its brilliant!

Not one of my favorite Springsteen songs but any time he performs live he outshines his studio work. So for this question my answer is My favorite version of Born In The U.S.A. is off of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - Live/1975-85 (CD-2)

i prefer the acoustic one because it's gets the real message of the song across better, since the song has become one the most misinterpreted songs in rock history...

of course, if bruce had included the acoustic version on 'nebraska', and then released the 'muder, inc' album instead of 'born in the usa', things would have probably turned out differently for him...

EDIT-and have ever heard the version he did on his 'tom joad' tour?...just his guitar, a harmonica, and a vocal wail from the soul?

The album (electric) version. I've heard the acoustic version and just don't like it that much. In contrast, I prefer the acoustic "No Surrender" over the fast version on Born in the USA.

The studio version; just screams at you & i'm a fan of acoustic music.
I prefer his acoustic version of Thunder Road though.
