Which guitar brand should I buy???!

Question: Hey everybody! Im looking to get an electric guitar, but am having trouble choosing which one! The kind of music I like is U2, RHCP, Kiss, Rolling Stones, Oasis, Nirvana etc. A wide variety. I was looking to get a Gibson style, but it might be a bit expensive so I was thinking of getting an Epiphone Les Paul.

This guitar is $399 at Guitar Center (I think its on sale). Is that a good buy? Any other recommendations? Thanks!

I have an epiphone les paul and from what i hear from my more musically inclined friends, it plays like a $1000 guitar---I payed like 400, and I've only been playing for like 5 months. My dad has a cool guitar called a stratocaster!!!! THAT is awesome if you could foot the bill,,,,,Fender is cool too but ya know in the beginning its all on you!!!!!! buy the most expensive guitar ever and it still won't sound good if you cannot play.......Stick with the epi until your fingers are callaced beyond repair, then spend some money on a more expensive toy!!!!!

get a fender

Get a Fender

well bands like that use the more twangy Fender.

but if you want a fat full bluesy tone. Go with the Gibson/Epiphone

my 1st guitar was an ibanez and they have a pretty decent sound and aren't super expensive.

fender or guild, do not buy a martin

Either that or a fender. I play bass but i know good instruments. Fenders will last a long time. Epiphones have a good reputation too. YES it is!

But, Epiphones are not built for the thrashy playing and will not withstand rock. Epiphones are for blues.

Fenders can play harder rock than epiphones, and they last longer.

I like Fenders

Yamaha is well known for the quality of its instruments making a wide variety of styles of acoustic and electric guitars, most of which are copies of popular American models, although a few are original in design to Yamaha. They also make a line of classical-style guitars based on Spanish models

good question.Fender.
I consider Yamaha 2.Lolz

toyota or honda are very reliable

i suggest anthing but the Epiphone Les Paul.
try Fender

there are many even cheeper guitars that are just as good a epiphone thry looking at stagg or look at http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/ they should have some in there : )

FENDER OR YAMAHA

Whatever Eddie Van Halen plays, it's a beautiful sound. Lots of people like Les Paul and Statacasters-- (don't know how to sp. it) However, it sounds great, my friend has one, he loves it...

Epiphone Les Paul will do fine for what you want to play. If you need more "oomph" then there are a lot of great pedals around for as little as $50.

yo dude,
ok... Gibson is the best. but that'll cost about $2000. or 1000 quid. your next best choice is a fender. you can get a good one for about 250-350 quid. but i'd seriously look at gettin a tanglewood electric. they are pure quality and all rockstars are getting them, and they're getting cheaper. hope that helps mate. good luck.

Fender Tele, or Tele custom.

you really just need to find a guitar that matches your personality, no matter what the cost. if it's possible to afford one guitar, you can try to get money for another.

go to a guitar shop and just look around. i promise you'll fall in love with at least one.

i'm a fender girl, and i have a stratocaster. i most deffinetly recomend it.

but the guitar you have chosen is descent, but you'll tire of it soon. i'd say get one you reaaaaaaaaally like.

If your budget limits you to the lower end guitars in the $300-$400 range you have probably found the best value in the Epiphone Les Paul. Just take a close look at it and sight down the neck to be sure it is straight and flat. It has a truss rod so you can add or subtract relief, but if the neck is twisted you will never be able to tune/intonate properly. The big box stores (Guitar Center and Sam Ash) don't control the humidity in their stores as much as is desirable so sometimes their inventory is not set up like it was when it left the factory. Also make sure to plug it in and be certain the volume/tone controls work smoothly as well as the pick-up switch without any excess buzzing or hum. Ephiphone is a quality instrument so have fun.

its up to you but remember american is best because almost all guitar makers have cheaper models made in japan ( not good ..............good cars but not good guitars ) so when you shop and find something try to find out were its manufactured and if you have enough money look for a through body neck , this makes a big difference in sound , and finally more expensive isnt always better

dont get the epiphone get an esp eclipse perhaps a james hetfield truckster the eclipses look like les paul and are really nice, epiphones are nice and all but they arent that cool
