Brutal question.

Nirvana's music was as addictive as the heroin Kurt handled. Though simplistic, the songs held a lot of power and became the standard for Grunge music.

Alice in Chains had a deeper and more meaningful sound though unfortunately not as recognized as Nirvana. Great guitar riffs and aggressive lyrics assailed all who took the chains to listen, yet heartfelt acoustic made itself present.

I would have quickly answered Nirvana when this question came up, but I can say I definately prefer AIC now. May Kurt and Layne rest in peace.

Though both have a "sad" like theme, I would have to say Nirvana.
