Scratching or no scratching?!

Question: I love a little scratching in my music. That's what today's music is missing: scratching. What do you think?

I love scratching myself. I was just thinking about this recently, you're right, scratching is almost necessary in hip hop in my opinion. I listen to the mainstream music that's being produced now and I don't even know if it would sound appropriate. Scratching needs to be brought back.

I'm all about cutting up some vinyl. There is plenty of good scratching in music today you just have to look a little harder.

A love some scratching a think dj warrior has some good cuts about go to mixtapetorrent.com good tapes on there peace.

Yes. I love to scratch, especially in the morning right after I get up...

Can we throw in breaking and writing too? Each of the four elements is equally important to hip hop culture. How did we narrow it down to just one?

156 more days until Scribble Jam...

EDIT: I just saw the answer that was posted after mine and I think I want to cry. Another misguided soul.

Primo is the only producer that still includes scratching in beats he produces, that not toally underground

It's more of an oldschool vibe to hear scratching on tracks, but as a DJ, I love it. If you're ever missing some of the sound, check out mixtapes or late night radio mixes; the DJS still cut up.
