I don't have a top five (as I believe that everyone is underrated/overrated in different ways and, a lot of times, you can't really compare one rapper to another), but I think that Lupe Fiasco is pretty underrated. He has gained a bit of success, winning a Grammy and all, but I think that a lot of people feel like the guy that skateboards can't rap.

Styles of Beyond is very much underrated. They basically made Fort Minor's album, The Rising Tied (with Linkin Park's rapper, Mike Shinoda). Download "Bleach."

And, lastly, I think that Lil Wayne and Chamillionaire--yes, two of the most popular rappers in the game today--are not really really recognized for how intricate a lot of their rhymes can be. True, they can do a lot of the "women, cars and money" songs, but Chamillionaire is a master of the metaphor and Lil Wayne is basically Andre 3000 2.0: the gangsta edition.
