Question: I was afraid it would defile me and everything.. I would freak out when I saw their song names and album covers, but I couldn't resist the awsome music so now Im a huge fan - ive realized that some music is just.. NOT meant to be taken seriously.

Not really. CC is not heavy compared to other Death metal bands.
i wasnt afraid but i did get creeped out when i read their lyrics before i started listening to them
That's exactly how I felt before I 1st heard Metallica in the 80s. Yeah, it seems tame by today's metal standards, but y'gotta understand, Metallica at the time were one of The Heaviest bands around.
Anyway, I've heard so much at this point, I doubt CC would shock me.

No. There are so many bands like that, heck, millions of bands like them, they are just as bad as those hair Metal bands. I'm sorry, I just don't like what everyone else follows. They are not scary at all but very quite funny.
