Question: what i mean is what makes good lyrics between the two hip hop is about storytelling metaphors,wordplay etc whereas rnb is about emotion and singers ability what do u think?

You can have metaphors, wordplay and so on in some R&B songs, and you can also have pure emotion in a hip hop song without using a metaphor and so on. Not the norm, but they exist.

Buy of course it does...RNB involves singing like any other genre...Rapping is a lil more complicated when it comes to lyrics just as u described
ppl are getting it twisted because they either dont listen to these genres much...and we have the fact of a lot of singers tryna rap instead of sing...Mostly ppl who dont kno hip hop(mostly white folk and suburban ppl) from RNB because RNB uses hip hop style music, clothing, etc
yeah definatley true... rnb plays on emotions alot more than hip hop does... many of ne-yo's songs for example sound very emotionally driven... but rappers are tellin stories....

r&B doesnt even have to rhyme, its all about word selection and melody. you have to use words that flow well, that you can sing without difficulty or stammering or whatever
rap is more technical, with multis, metaphors, rhymes schemes and what have you
