Does anyone know if you can replace a Floyd Rose bridge with a fixed bridge?!
Question: I want to use some bigger gauge strings but i cannot get my bridge to stay flat while i am restringing it. I typically use Ernie Ball super slinks, but i wanted to use the skinny top heavy bottoms. Any ideas? Or should i just get a guitar with a fixed bridge...

You can't replace your bridge. You can block your tremolo by adding more springs to it. That will help keep the bridge flat by increasing the tension. I don't have a floyd rose, but if you have a tremolo claw, then tightening the screws on that will help as well. Just a warning: if you block your bridge, then the extra tension from using thicker strings will have nowhere to go and take it out on your truss rod. No worries, nothing too serious, but you will probably need to have it adjusted.
