What made you like/love hip hop?!

I don't think it was one specific thing that made me love hip hop, it was a combination of things. Hip hop is my therapy. Whatever it is you might ge going through good and bad, hip hop has something that'll help you out. Whatever I'm going through, hip hop has song that I can relate to. Hip hop has a way of connecting people. Everybody on Y!A has a connection because we all have love for hip hop. So I guess thats why I love and will continue to love hip hop.
Life's A b**** (kind of odd, huh?) by Nas. AZ's verse blew my mind , I loved the beat, and it got me to enjoy hip hop a LOT more. Plus I found what would be my favourite album...

I was like every other fan when i started to lik it; I liked the new stuff. But my cousin and I started to hang out(he knows a lot about the history and all of hip-hop) so then I got into it and got knowledgeable about the hip-hop game.
my father was a big hip hop head so that definitely had an influence. i was always into the eclectic stuff. my first album was an outkast album. i always liked the stuff that kind of pushed the limits of the genre. i've always loved the fashion. ive switched back and forth between hip hop and punk, but hip hop has always been wifey.

and when i was really first getting into music, hip hop was HUGE.
The force and confidence portrayed by LL Cool J in "I'm Bad" is what first made me fascinated with hip hop.
It's music I can actually understand and I actually know what the artist is tryna say, y'know?

K look when I was a SMALL kid I listened to bad music i mean horrible. my best friend was into it and when I was 8 he told me about pac so on vacation i went to new york with my pop (R.I.P) and went into a store and I saw tupacs All Eyez On Me 2 disc set and I bought it and LOVED it and know he is my idle. After that I downloaded old skool and loved that even more! and that's my story. R.I.P pop 12/10/53-11/7/07
