Drummers Neil Pert vs. John Bonham?!

Question: My preference?? Neil Peart for the sheer fact that he is so intricate in his drumming...pure mastery of the drums. However, John Bonham was so powerful, not sure anyone has ever hit the drums as hard!! But I still prefer Neil.....

That is like saying which do you like better Pizza or more pizza.

They both revolutionized drumming. Different styles but most drummers today are copying either of both of them.

Bonzo

John Bonham gave us "Kashmir" , he gave us "when the levee breaks" , He's the best hands down!!!

!!!!God rest his soul!!!

Neil.

Its gotta be Bonzo for me... his grooves were so loose... but tight... if you get what i mean lol he was really funky and no-one else can play like him

Your talking about 2 of the GREATEST rock drummers of all time sweetheart and I love them both. BUT I'm a HUGE Neil Peart fan and I think he is GOD on the drums!!! They don't call him "The Professor" without go reason!!! The man is simply amazing!!!

both anazing drummers but im kinda goin to bonzo

Both awesome, but I pick John.

You're giving me a nosebleed!

lol!!!

Though I love Zeppelin, Peart will drum circles around ANY rock drummer today or it's history. You have to delve into jazz to find a more talented drummer than Peart.

I gotta say Neil. Not only because I love RUSH, but he is a fantastic drummer in general.

I am less fond of John Bonham.

Bonzo was superb, but just listen to YYZ, La Villa Strangetta or O Batterista. Peart is the better technician.

They are My numbers 1 & 2 Drummers of all time. This is seriously like making Me choose between Beil and Alba here.
Ughhh

1 Bonham
2 Peart

John Bonham only because I like Led Zeppelin better.

i think they're both magnificent, but with completely different styles of music to play to

if i have to pick

the only reason that i prefer bonham, is that i think he is more inventive.

this drummer from "nowhere" on "good times bad times" used a 5-stroke roll with his foot.

who else in rock was doing things like that? - nobody.

neil pert is techniquely proficient and precise, like bill bruford.

i dont know theyre both really good but i really didnt care for rush, i liked led zepplin better. so i pick john
