What can I say about BOC. For starters I consider them the second most influential Metal band in History after Sabbath. Just look at their career. They were Metal Gods in the 70's and their trademarks were Buck Dharma's screaming Guitar and Eric Bloom's sneering vocals and esoteric lyrics. How many Metal bands ever since have had screaming Guitars and sneering esoteric lyrics?...Ummm thousands.
I know all about the "Imaginos" album. It's spectacular. Kenny Arronson is an amazing Bassist. I don't quite grasp the Rudy Sarzo deal either. I think they could have done better but the Bass was never really a super key factor to BOC anyway. The Bouchard Brothers were a solid Rhythm Section but unspectacular IMO.

whoa look at all the thumbs up I Gave today! I was feeling the love or the cult today Report It

    Favorite Album: Agents of Fortune

    Favorite songs:
    1. Burnin' For You
    2. Don't Fear the Reaper
    3. Godzilla
    4. Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll
    5. Career of Evil

I like the first album, maybe because it was raw, maybe for sentimental reasons; I first saw them in concert (as an opening act for Mahavishnu Orchestra and Byrds at Stony Brook) around the time it came out. Later, I felt like I got in at the ground level.

Don't Fear the Reaper has been overplayed so badly for so long - if I had never had to hear it the last 10 years or 20 years that would have been good, and I certainly don't need to hear it again.

Favorite songs....Well one is certainly O.D.'d on Life Itself is definitely my favorite. That song has a great energy around it, and is very hard edged in the live version.

Second favorite has to be Astronomy. It's a great song, with one of the creepiest/coolest vibes I've ever heard of a song. It almost makes you somewhat spaced out after hearing the song.

Their best is also the Tyranny and Mutation album. Even though it preceded it by a few years, there is definitely a punkish fury and anger on the first side of the album, with the second side being much slower, but nowhere near lacking in power. One of the greatest albums ever, worthy of the title of the bands best.

ETI and Morning Final, both from AOF. I saw them in concert in El Paso about 1977, for the Spectres tour. Whatda band!

    Favorite Album- Agents of Fortune

Both albums are overlooked, but contain great songs.
