Why do people think Metal is Always satanic?!
Question: It's because people are ignorant, and naive, and they don't have a clue about heavy metal, I get ripped by people at my job for listening to it. I am also Christian and one of my favorite heavy metal bands that I listen too is a Christian band called Living Sacrifice when I tell people about them everyone jumps the gun and assumes they are associated with Satan but I usually don't pay any mind to idiots.

because it sounds scary and evil. it's not always the case though.
They are close minded. They just see what they want to and don't look below the surface. I'm Christian and I love metal anything from prog to black , to death metal. It's all music to me.
People hate what they don't understand. Actually it's easier for them to hate something rather then try to understand it.

Simply because they are scared of the music, a good example is the band Amon Amarth, they're death metal but not satanic, play it for your friends who hate metal ^-^

* From my point of view, people consider metal satanic because it's not soothing and relaxing, but aggressive and speedy. I don't see what's so satanic about it, unless their lyrics actually mean something and how the band reacts to religions (such as Deicide)

I agree with what has already been suggested, I would just add that 'some' metal is anti-christian or even more ambiguously anti-organized-religion, which is not the same thing as satanic, and many people confuse the two.

For one because people are stupid. Two most of these people can't tell that to some degree a lot of these bands are just putting on a show. Manson would be a perfect example of this.. Also other bands like decide who have very balshempous lyrics i would not consider satanic instead, i think they just recycle the same lyrics because it is what sales . However, i do feel that some early black metal bands such as mayhem and burzum are satanic although, black metal is far from mainstream.
