If rap sucks so bad y do u people spend so much time bashing it?!
Question: They bash it because they don't understand it. To them, it's just a bunch of guys talking about bitches and ho's or about bustin a cap. Also, since rap music usually isn't very melodic (it's basically just talking over a unique bass track) they don't consider it real music. What people don't understand is that rapping takes real talent and not everyone can do it well. They also don't get the message behind "good" rap songs because they just blend it all in with the garbage rap. People like Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z, Nas, Eminem and Snoop are as influential to music and society today as Elvis and the Beatles were in the earlier generations.
I like rap music but I honestly feel that most of the stuff they play on the radio and music videos, "posing" as rap songs isn't "real" rap music, it's garbage! That is one of the reason that the reputation of rap music suffers today.

i personally like rap i used to say i didnt like but i never bashed it..i would say its not my preference of music i like another genre but i think every rapper,band or ever micheal jackson have talent..

They take the time to come out of their rock section and bash us. Rednecks want everyone to be just like them. The only rap they listen to, or heard is the rap on the radio.

music of all kinds is bashed, like me i listen to country music people give me crap about it. its what i like. people will find a reason to bash anything.
your question was on the home page, i did not come looking for it... but i did find it interesting. simply, most people bash on things that they "think" suck because they "think" it sucks!
personally, i "think" hip hop sucks. not because the artists have less talent or "skillz", but because i can't identify with the themes or understand the slang. i'm sure you would have an equally difficult time appreciating the rockabilly/psychobilly and punk music that i've grown up on.
also consider that many people (wrong or right, like it or not) are racist. these may be the people who are seeking out the rap questions and taking the time to bash on rap or hip-hop as a way to safely express their unpopular views on race.
Sorry but I may not be your best candidate. I really don't hate much of any music, what I dislike and desire to not be subjected to is a bunch of profanity, derogatory language, hate filled lyrics, additionall please spare my ears having to hear that county-western sound, (How do they do that screechy thing anyway - have a mouth full of chewing tobacco? or have someone step on their foot?)
My M.C. is having people in vehicles having their whatever you want to call it blasting - the rest of the world is not interested in hearing your sounds! I am sure that it is an attention seeking behavior from people that are suffering from sexual depeervation - that is whay they are trying to get someone to notice them.
My vision of hell is being sat in a room, on a stool, and having headphones glued to my ears, and for eternity on one side having some of that screamming hate filled, profanity, derogatory, stuff, about some guy scratchin his cahonies and spitting on some woman, comming out of side and on the other country and western, dog with a leg in barb-wire scrreching about being a frickin' victim to someone -

because rap is juss rable rable rable and its annoying after a while...the concerts are horrible they sit there and say like 1 word with there music playing behind it its juss boring and trash the rap song ill ever listen is the im so hood rmix with luda,busta,lil wayne and the other guys

a) Not everyone that listens to rock music is a redneck{ i am black and LOVE rock music}
b) not everyone that listens to rap is black and on welfare(my brother listens to raps and we are definatly not on well fare)
c) Rap kind of does suck. Most of the rappers only talk about drugs,chicks,drinking and so on and so forth....But rock talks about so much more
d) why do everyone have to put race into everything. Not just white people listen to rock and not just black people listen to rap so get over yourselfs

Because bashing something you hate blows off steam and kills the frustration.
Why do people gossip about their enemy? Or complain about their day? Basically the same situation. Why relive the stupidity of it all? Because it helps blow off steam.
