Why do neck thru guitars have more sustain? whats the reason behind it?!
Question: Neck thru guitars have the advantage of being a solid peice of wood. By comparison, bolt on necks have a gap (however small) that the vibrations must "leap" across. If the joint is not tight enough the vibrations get dampened and so stop. Take a glass for example...flick it with your fingertip so it rings and then lightly touch the glass...the ringing will cease.
