CURRENTLY, why is there more COMMERCIAL white Rock bands then black?!
Question: Because that would totally crush all the stereotypes the big record companiessss worked so hard on creating. Look at Killswitch Engage and Sevendust. Both bands would probably get a lot more play if they had a white singer because they would follow the stereotype.

because blacks don't really like rock like whites. you know... they like rap and r&b and stuff... bye =]
Because of stereo typing. Most black people are said to be into rap and hip hop. White people are said to be into rock and metal.
Even in Africa where I live, there are more white rock bands than black (although there are plenty of black musicians in other genres). I think it's just a genre that attracts more white people than black.

I CURRENTLY have no idea. Perhaps it is because there are so few black rock bands? Take that inc consideration, and think about ALL the rock bands that are out there , not racially specific, and think about how few actually get commercial success. The odds are just lower.

Edit: Really? I stand corrected. there are some black rock musicians here in Montgomery, Alabama. but I haven't seen an all black rock band. Its probably for the best though. Montgomeriens do not support music as I wish they would.

I honestly dont think there are,people like to think just because theres more of one thing than the other then theres a conspiracy or some other bull$hit discrimination case when really theres not,and its esspecialy that way with race,I mean,why are there more black rappers than white?Dont ask questions that are just going to cause more controversy over racisim,we have enough bull$hit like that in this country already,so stop adding to it.
Blacks will always be associated with rap and whites with rock. Thats just the way it is. Nobody is going to believe some great black rock band without thinking about rap. I'm not racist, whatsoever, but thats just the way it is.
The only all black band right now that is having any success is The Roots. Technically they may be rap, but they are a kick a** band too. Maybe when the music industry will have to completely implode before good music will be popular again. All this junk I hear on the radio just makes me want to puke.
