No it was Bunnell. and the record actually unseated heart of gold off the chart.. Ironic or what . It is said that Bunnell was inspired by young for the vox on the track . Tbh it could easily be him .
another interesting thing was the song was actually written in england on a rainy day

Hope that helps

No.

Neil never sang that well, unfortunately. That's one of my favourite songs from the 70's though (along with Wildfire), so thanks for reminding me of it.

yeah you are right he did!!! but it must have been a cover since i'm 100% sure America wrote it.

EDIT actually i'm wrong, i looked it up, it just sounded a hell of alot like him!!!

No . America were an ersatz CSN (Y) . hear the record also referred to as "Song With No Tune" :)

No never thought it was Neil.

no...........???????????

No way..."America" had it 's own sound...

Night and day. Get your ears checked.

Maybe it's the Neil Young and Crazy Horse thing that causes the confusion? Crazy Horse/Horse with no Name... ?

I always hated that song, partly because it did sound like Neil Young.

Sister Golden Hair is the only song by America I can stomach.

I always thought America tried really hard to sound like CSN.

I guess they thought they needed to throw a Neil Young sound-alike in there for good measure...
