Concerts...?!
Question: hey, i'm going to my first concert, i'm not allowed in the pit though :(, so just wondering, are concerts still as fun if you're not in the pit? i really want to, cause they sound like a ton of fun, but i'm not allowed :( so if you're in the seats, what do you do? i mean, obviously i'll be standing, but how do i act?

Seats aren't as fun as the pit. But, they don't 'suck'.
There are good points and bad points to both. I've been to many concerts, and I've been in the pit, and in the seats.
The fun thing about the mosh pit is that you get to be a lot more envolved in the concert. Obviously, you get to mosh. But, theres more to it than that, as well. You can scream a lot more, jump around more, and generally just be as loud and obnoxious as you want.
The unfun part of the pit is that you /can/ get hurt, and you more than likely will. It all depends on what bands you're going to see. Also, you can get things stolen from you in the pit. You have to make sure you don't have a wallet on you. One of my first experiences in the pit, I had on these awesome glow in the dark shoelaces..and somehow, someone stole them from me during the concert. You're packed in so tight that you really can't tell whats going on around you sometimes. So, thats not fun.
But, overall. I love the most pit.
The seats are good because you don't have to worry about being trampled by someone, or getting hurt. You will be standing whenever the concert is happening, but you can sit down during breaks between bands. And, you have a place to set refreshments(you'll need something to drink.) Its not as hot or crowded in the seats as it is in the mosh pit, either. And you can see the band better than if you're having to crane your neck and look over peoples heads in the mosh pit.
Of course, you don't get to be as active or involved in the concert, though.
I'd say that the pros and cons are pretty even with both.
Personally, I like the mosh pit better. But, for your first concert, I think the seats are a better idea.
Besides, at least you're getting to go to the concert. There is always a chance to be in the mosh pit when you're older.
Seats suck. Plain and simple. But me and my friends started a mosh in the seats only to be yelled at by security.
Aww Squiks, if this is regarding my answer to your other question, I didn't mean to bum your party. Shows are fun with no pits too. My first few, I didn't go in the pit. It's probablly not a good idea, since this is your first.
You can still jump around and sing along. It'll be fun, I pinky promise. Act like the person to your left. XD

Seats arent that bad. I prefer the pit, but ive had seats for a few shows
Best part with seats is that you can leave to get food and stuff and come back w/o losing your spot
I've been to several concerts, seated at all of them. They're a ton of fun! Just jump up and down, sing on the top of your voice, and be sure to take Tylenol beforehand (for the inevitable headaches).

I've been going to concerts for 30 years, and IMHO, it doesn't matter where you are at so long as you are there!
kinda sucks for you. somehow it isnt the same when you cant push other people, i guess you could but whatever...yeah like what the other person said, mosh in the seats. theres nothing like a good mosh pit to get your heart pumping :]]]
o ur in seats um...well ive never been to a concert with seats we always have moshpits, and go crowd surfing so i have no clue what u can do other than just jump around lol, how old r u anyway? i went to my first one when i was 11

seats suck..i always hated it
You can still jump around and go crazy but be carful my legs always hit the back of the chairs and i got cut up[sounds lame but its true]
well having seen both sides of concert going I must say that pits are the best, but seats have their benefits,
1. Your feet will thank you! (after standing around for an all day music fest...I wish I had had seats)
2. Less likely to get groped by some beer guzzling jerk
3. Better pictures (if your close)
4.Less likely to be crushed or trampled
Hopefully next show you go to you can experience a pit
