Anyone know Black Mountain???!
Question: i saw them play monday night and thought they were pretty cool, then i went on itunes to sample and thought they were pretty bland as in nothing original that hasn't been done 100 times before..i like the black sabbath meets pink floyd vibe but maybe i thought they were good just 'cause it was loud, live and drunk...any opinions???

That sort of music is always more powerful live... its very difficult to get that loud energy down on tape... but yeah i don't mind them so much... in a similar vein to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club... that druggy woozy feel... i like it but i reckon i'd like it more hearing it live...
Their records are good, but not great compared to the stuff they're influenced by...
