Just keep fighting the good fight. Eventually, you will wear them down and they'll probably want to start marching to the Black Parade. I usually am the one that gets stuck driving so I run a dictatorship when it comes to the music. It works out extremely well.

No, everyone knows that I'm a music fanatic so they just bite their tongue and deal with it whether they like it or not. (usually my friends especially don't like it).

:( I lost my TC badge for some reason...damn yahoo.

nah, my family's used to it, and i don't usually blare the volume up
YAY!!! I <3 MCR too!!!

hmm..i dun..hehe..i have my own Mp3 & room..so im okay...

wow..its so frustrating to have to fight whenever u wanna listen to music....

im so so so sorry bout ur story.. love ya dear...dun be so depressed.Do what u want & like.

sometimes, cuz my friends don't like MCR

with my family, no, i've learned the benefits of headphones, with my friends, not really, because if i attempt to play my ipod at their houses, they'll take it and hide it!

yes because my brother and i use the computer alot but he uses the computer more than i do sometimes he does not want to share the computer so i could listen to my music that is why i and my brother fight about it is so irritating!!!

No, I don't have to fight to listen to music. My husband isn't really into music so doesn't care what I listen to or how long I have it going so long as I don't subject him to anything too heavy when we are taking a long trip in the car. I can live with that.

Keep persevering, when i was a teen my mother hated that I was a headbanger and would play the music but it never stopped me. Aside from my father, I 'm the only one in my family that has a great love for music now.

No, but it helps when you're single and have you're own place. I play whatever I want in the office and in my car. My gf likes a lot of what I like and will listen to whatever else I want to hear (unlike me who won't listen to some of the crap she likes. Double standards = caring).

Do you mean because your family doesn't like your music?

Don't worry about that. I remember when my Mama hollered about Journey and the bands I liked as a teen. The YEARS later she said she actually liked them! LOL! By then I didn't though :)

Just keep on keeping on. Its ridiculously common for parents not to like your music. Way back when, parents hated the Beatles and Elvis and look at those are Icons now.

As a MCR hater I will say this ( though I hate the word hater... LOL!) if other people do not like them , big deal. You can't change that, just be YOU!!! Don't let other people's taste bother you. We all have the right to love what we love.

It's not so much that I have to fight to get to listen to music.... it's more that I'd have to fight to get the rest of the people I live with to not be so noisy so that I could enjoy my music!!!

Like rckets, tho.... in my car I rule! My little rolling kingdom...

At times it certainly feels like I do... My parents and sister like only a tiny bit of the music that I listen to, and sometimes get upset if I listen to certain music too loud. However, headphones have saved me multiple times.

The real fight is between my wife and me, and it is a battle for the "musical soul" of our 5 year old daughter. When our daughter rides with me in the car, I find I often have to cleanse her musical palate of that top 40 stuff with healthy doses of Johnny Cash, Neil Young, and Social Distortion. (It's a gradual process).
