She did *NOT* date Tom Petty. Stevie was very good friends with his first wife, Jane.
She briefly married Kim Anderson, the widowed husband of her best friend Robin Anderson, to help raise Robin & Kim's baby*. They divorced after a few months.
*Robin had died of lukemia.
It isn't certain that she had a relationship with Rupert Hine - only that they worked together, and there was a 'chemistry' between them.
She described Joe Walsh as 'the one that got away', and she wrote the song "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You" for him.
