I was playing with my G-string and my nut broke (guitar related)?!

my nut on my acoustic guitar broke and i cant fix it. if i take it to a music store then they are going to charge $40. i dont want to pay.
is there any way i can fix it without paying money?
P.S- i have already used gorilla glue and it didnt work. i am in the school band and i need it fixed FAST!

okay im not gunna be 1 of those people who pretend they know when they really dont but heres a lin kthat shows you how to fix it using baking soda or something

LMAO im sorry i cant help you with your broken nut. take it to a music shop

you could buy one and fix it yourself, but it won't save you much money. bottom line, you need a new part and that will cost money. :/

You can buy spare nuts (can't believe I just typed that). Some guitar shops sell brass nuts so one of those and epoxy adhesive will work.

There is way too much stress on the nut to try to fix it. Pony up the cash and get it fixed right. Have someone do it that knows what they are doing. If not done properly it can affect the playability of the guitar
