Poll: Will there be any famous rappers from today still rapping when or if they !

Question: You know, like the way Frank Sinatra and Eric Clapton have done. Do you think they can carry off a realistic rap when they get older, like a gangsta rap? Can you imagine rapping at the old folks home? LOL

Yeah sure why not. I'm sure Jay Z could rap about Geritol or Icy Hot. That single would be played non stop at the retirement home.

Then Shaq Fu would come out saying how Icy Hot saved his life.

lol...

no

hell no lol

No, because by then people will realize how shallow and meaningless that whole genre really is. A few months ago I read an article that showed the already 40% decrease in hip-hop album sales since 2000. Hence, the downfall of the gangataaas making millions for telling stories of how many hoes they had last night, or why their mamma kicked them out the house.

LOL i think so thats a cool question never thought of that. Others still perform that are that old. I think when we turn 70 yrs old were only going to like the rap we grew up on so yea i think they will.

ONLY the TRUE artists... I can see Jay-Z, Nas, Common etc...

Look at Gil Scott Heron!! (for those who know who he is) He is pretty much up there and he was one of the "original rappers"... you could say. He was doing poetry over music back in the 70's and sells out clubs UNTIL THIS DAY!!! He's got to be in his 60's... so, I think you WILL see TRUE artists who actually have lyrics and the talent to put on a show.. perform until however old they can do it. And I DEFINITELY see many of the old school artists... Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, MC Lyte, Public Enemy etc.... going for the long haul because they are already legends, have true lyrical ability and know how to put on a show.

Now, the Hurricane Chrises and Soulja Boys... NAH... they won't last 2 years from now.... forget being 60!!

Snoop - Pimping is across all ages
