i have a line 6 spider III, i really like it, i play similar music to yours, the only problem is the clean channel, it's not exactly fabulous.
PS: i've answered some of you other amp questions, and just so you know, the amp i just told you is a tube amp

In my opinion the best amp for any style music is a Marshall 100 watt all tube hard wired amp from the 60's or 70's.
id say either Line 6 or Marshall.
