Any good suggestions on improving my singing voice?!
Question: I don't take any singing lessons, but I would like to have a decent singing voice and have been doing much research. Below is a recording of my voice singing a song from Tarzan..

i barrrrrely know the song i sung and the end is pretty shaky because i didn't know what i was singing or what was going on lol.
When you click on the link it might come up with a box asking to download it or something.. it's in mp3 format so it'll open up in itunes or something i guess. Any suggestions will help. Thanks!

1.) Get a vocal coach
BTW, it wasn't bad.
So...I have been singing for 8 years since I was 6, and I have had 3 lessons throughout that course.
Basically, I taught myself through emulation and basic skills.
You should most definitely LEARN the song well. I find that when I am confident with the song, I'll sing out and seriously, just belting it is WAY better than singing timidly, a bit like you were in the end.
Next, warm up, warm up, warm up. I used to think it was really annoying in choir when we had to, but I found out that it really opens your throat and helps clear your tone. It also gives you better pitch and sound.
Sing with you diaphragm. You got a little nasaly and thin there, and if you just can't sing with your stomach like me a while back, lie on the ground and sing. Get that breathing right, then get up and sing the same way. You breathe from your stomach lying down, so it helps a ton.
Good luck and I hoped I helped a bit!
that actually wasn't that bad. better than me! my mom said when she was younger, she wanted to sing a song a her school's talent show, but my uncle, her brother, made fun of her saying she couldn't sing so she practiced singing by just singing. now she's a really good singer.
