Question about old rock?!
Question: iam not sure if iam the only old timer on here or not.lol , but how many of you like motown and doo wop music?. who are some of the artist you like?, i have so many i dont know where to start.

Oh, there's lots of us old-timers out here. I like both those kinds of music, doo-wop more than Motown though. I like Dion, Mary Wells, but my big favourite is Sam Cooke who falls kind of partway between Motown and doo-wop. Check him out, he's awesome.
Truse me, you're not the only old-timer on here. There's others in the football section (all guys) who are like 50+ ATLEAST. lol. Don't worry.

Not my favorite categories , but, The Supremes - "Reflections" is a classic.
I'm not really a fan of vocal oriented music, but after watching "Standing in the Shadows of Motown" those singers have a killer band backing them up...
I would have to say The Drifters. When I was 18, I used to manage our local swimming pool, and parents would complain about our local rock stations appropriateness. I strongly dislike modern country, and the pop stations played the same ten tracks all day, so I dug up old Drifters albums and played them all the time. Most of those village pool rats new words to most the songs by the end of the season.
You don't have to be old to know good music. I'm 24, my favorite artists are from a variety of genres and generations, and some are older than my grandparents.
Motown's cool. I dig Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Temptations, Martha Reeves, Stevie Wonder, Jackson 5.

Well I don't know about doo wop rock, but I really dig Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, etc.
So I' m kind of cheating the system here, but would you be able to email me?About our shared car model...my Olds' is a 1989 Delta 88 Royal... and you answered one of my questions about the stalling it does... just wondering if you have any other thoughts about it. We just found out the fuel filter is rusted on, and there was a glove stuck up in my air filter... I kid you not lol. But I can't contact you any other way.. so that's why I'm bugging you this way...sorry... but um yea to answer the question the only older artists I like are Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams... okay I'm done now...thanks for putting up with this!
